Use the valve as a measurement point
Rinse one filter type, close the valve and add 294 g water at 93°C before adding 18 g coffee. Stir gently at 0:30 and place the dripper on its server at 2:00. Water-first loading reduces the chance that dry grounds pack tightly against the paper during the comparison.

Release three matched brews
